I obviously use facebook for my business page (http://www.facebook.com/garmentsbyj).
It’s a great way to get to know your customer, and they can easily get to know
you. When you post a new status every day, you’re interacting with all your
customers. Even if I don’t post a product that I’ve made, I will post a quote,
or an article from someone else that is similar to my page. I normally like
boutiques and stores around my area (Connecticut) and if your page has fan
power, photographs, and interactive posts they will probably like you back then
you can network. At this point I have about 500 or so fans that I interact with
so being professional is key. You should keep your personal page and your
business page completely separate.
